A brief explanation is warranted regarding a slightly confusing grammatical situation you will find in many posts, since I'll mention my beloved Frankie often in this blog.
While I identify (most of the time) as a cisgender queer woman, my partner prefers the use of pronouns that don't force their identity into gender binaries.
Therefore: 'they', 'their', 'themself' etc. refers to my one partner, who is gloriously genderqueer.
Or, of course it may be used in reference to other loved ones who are trans, pangender or just don't like rigid binary systems!
