Her 9-month Mission:
To explore the strange gift of life in this wondrous universe, to seek out the Great One Divinity and my own right place within it, to wildly go with an open heart where mystics lead the way.
As I was writing this mission, a song I had never actually listened to before started to play on my shuffle. It drew my attention out of setting-upa-new-blog land and said,
"Yes, we the great spirits are with you, and we have sent you a theme song!"
"Yes, we the great spirits are with you, and we have sent you a theme song!"

Specs:
U.S.S. signifies "United Star Ship", indicating my affiliation with the United Federation of Planets, an organization in the future through which:
"The planetary governments agree to exist semi-autonomously under a single central government based on the principles of universal liberty, rights, and equality, and to share their knowledge and resources in peaceful cooperation and space exploration." More...
But in all seriousness, my (inter)stellar partner, Frankie, bought this 28-foot Avion space shuttle circa 1971 and put it on their* farm in North Carolina. This will be my "room of her own" writing and meditation space during my visit this fall.
So the Chickadee's Delight is a true vehicle, yet simultaneously an extended metaphor for my own spirit-body (which I envision as a flock of small birds) that can go places the Avion cannot over the course of my nine month sabbatical on the good life.
Flight Plan:
I'll spend the summer flitting about visiting the nests of loved ones and hugging the mountains back home on the West Coast of BC. During this time I'll also attend a Theatre of the Oppressed Training at the Mandala Centre in Port Townsend, WA.
Then I'll rendezvous with Mishkami, and Frankie in Montreal. I have the great honour of officiating the wedding of two beautiful people, and then we'll head south to the farm, where I'll spend the fall. The big debate at the time of this writing is whether of not to head East via Halifax or West via Toronto on this leg of the voyage.
I'm also intending to pursue trainings over the winter and spring. One is the Shalom Retreat Leaders Training and the other is the Suluk Academy program on Universal Sufism. If these experiences pan out, I will likely relocate to the Catskill Mountain area in January for a few months.
Inshallah! May the border-crossing angels be kind!
